J. Tommy Midyette is a visual artist who loves working with his hands to paint portraits of all kinds of subjects. His portrait paintings are lovingly designed to express the unique personalities of people and pets, the special characteristics of houses and buildings, and to be a pleasure to view. He can take portrait orders from anywhere in the world. You can choose to purchase his portrait paintings and/or you can also choose to purchase only photographs from one of his photo sessions.

He is a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary, NC.

Your satisfaction with your portrait is guaranteed - and you can get it in writing if you like.

There is a non-refundable photo session fee of $100 for Tommy to arrive on site. If Tommy must travel outside of Wake County for a photo shoot, he charges .55 cents/mile and lodging (if needed). Beyond these costs, you can choose to purchase photos and/or a painting.

Gift certificates are always available.

Now is the time to make an appointment for a photo session in order to have a portrait painted! Tommy paints from these photos or ones you supply.

All of Tommy's paintings are made from scratch (except the ones called, "Retouched Photos with Paint.")

Oil portrait paintings are done on white canvas. Pastel portrait paintings, charcoal portraits, colored pencil portraits are all done on paper and need to be framed under glass.

Pet portrait paintings, Bridal portrait paintings, House portrait paintings, Landscape paintings and golf hole paintings can be produced on canvas or paper.
